IT WAS so good to see our Navy and
Air Force brethren out having a great
time on Anzac Day, wearing their
uniforms proudly and responsibly.
They looked fantastic in the public
eye, representing their services in such a
dignified, discerning and engaged manner
-- both during the marches and the after
celebrations out on the town. It's such
a shame that members of the Australian
Army were denied this privilege.

uniform due to alcohol abuse, the hard
work of others can come undone.
By all means, our members should
march in uniform, but they should then
dress in a coat and tie with medals
proudly displayed while enjoying Anzac
Day activities where alcohol is served.
Anzac Day is not about Army, but it
is about our veterans. I am also a veteran,
and this is how I choose to spend Anzac
Day after I finish my formal duties.
