CIVILIAN employers of reservists
deployed to the Solomon Islands have
been given the chance to visit their
employees in action and witness first-
hand the job they do in uniform.
Sweating alongside their staff in the
tropical climate, the employers got a
tour of the accommodation and on-base
working facilities the soldiers used on a

said being part of Exercise Boss Lift,
held from February 24-28, had been a
"Participating in ambushes, shooting

the soldiers had been fantastic.
"Being able to see first-hand what
the reservists do over here in the
Solomon Islands and be part of the exer-
cises has given me a greater apprecia-
tion of what the reservists do," he said.
"I'll be going back a much strong-
er advocate for the reservists and with
greater appreciation of how they support
