Police memorial day
THE National Police Remembrance
Day Memorial service will be held at the
National Police Memorial, Kings Park,
Canberra on September 29 at 5.30pm.
Before the service a Remembrance
Parade will depart from Rond Terrace,
Lake Burley Griffin, at 4pm to march to
the National Police Memorial. Current and
former serving police members are invited
to march. Further information can be found
THE Australian Government is reviewing
the military rehabilitation and compen-
sation scheme. It is an opportunity for
ADF personnel to voice any concerns
about rehabilitation and compensation
issues. The review will aim to recommend
improvements to the Military Rehabilitation
and Compensation Act 2004, which cov-
ers personnel who have served after
2004. Meetings are planned in the coming
months for current and former serving per-
sonnel and their families. The first will be
held at Holsworthy Barracks on September
24. More information on the review and
meeting dates and times can be found on

CA's history conference
THE 2009 Chief of Army's History
Conference, entitled 'Raise, Train and
Sustain: Delivering Land Combat Power',
will be held at Rydges Lakeside Hotel,
Canberra, on October 1-2. A conference
dinner will be held at RMC Officers' Mess
on September 30. The conference will
bring together distinguished scholars
and practitioners from the UK, US and
Australia. The conference program and
